We are pleased to offer a large silverplated oval tray from the Hotel Piccadilly.  It has an elegant Art Deco style and was made by R. Wallace for the iconic hotel.  It's dated 1928 on the back which is the year the hotel opened.
Named after London's Piccadilly Street, the Art Deco themed hotel opened in 1928 at Times Square.  It was known as the toast of the Theater District and its slogan was:  Smartly located in the Center of Everything.  It saw its heydey from the time it opened through the 1950s and like so many of its contemporaries, fell on hard times.  It was demolished in 1982.
We are listing other pieces of hotel flatware and holloware and are happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases.  Please check our other items.
Condition:  Overall good - it has significant scratches on the face; typical of hotel plate.  It is stamped: Hotel Piccadilly 1928 on the back.
Size:  12 1/2" x 18 1/2".
Shipping:  Buyer to pay actual shipping costs; insurance is included as a handling fee.
